The International Conference ‘A century of forest knowledge – education, innovations, challenges
(CENFORKNOW 2025)’, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Higher Forestry Education in
Bulgaria, was held from 7 to 9 May 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event brought together more than
160 participants from various countries, who presented a total of 115 studies in the form of oral
presentations and posters.
The thematic scope of the Conference encompassed a wide range of topics related to forest ecology,
including forest disturbances, climate and forests, forest management, ecosystem services, game and
wildlife conservation and management, wood harvesting and processing, forestry and environmental
education. In addition, the programme included topics from other academic fields represented at the
University of Forestry, such as agronomy, landscape architecture, and veterinary medicine.

University of Forestry Sofia has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the International
Scientific Conference ‘Forestry: Bridge to the Future’, which took place on 5–8 May 2021 in Sofia,
Bulgaria.
The Organizing Committee decided to conduct the event in a hybrid format. Participants had the
choice of attending in person or virtually.
The Conference is dedicated to the 95th Anniversary of higher forestry education in Bulgaria
and was organised by the University of Forestry, Sofia and Faculty of Forestry.
